Counselling support for those affected by the Disability Royal Commission and its final report

The Disability Royal Commission has released its final report on issues of violence, neglect, abuse and exploitation of people with disability.

If you or someone you know has been affected by the Disability Royal Commission or its final report, counselling support continues to be available until 31 December 2023.

A counsellor can support you around your feelings and experiences in a safe space. Support is free, independent and confidential.

You can call the National Counselling Referral Service on 1800 421 468. It is available 9am to 6pm weekdays, and 9am to 5pm on weekends and public holidays.

If it is hard for you to hear or speak, you can call the National Relay Service on 133 677.

If you need support in a language other than English, you can call:

  • the National Counselling and Referral Service on 1800 421 468 and ask for an interpreter
  • the Translating and Interpreting Service National on 131 450 and ask them to connect you to the National Counselling and Referral Service.
