As part of the second implementation plan, the Department of Social Services worked with disability stakeholders from a range of backgrounds to develop the Australian Government Plan to Improve Outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People with Disability.
The plan was the first of its kind and identified potential solutions that communities, in partnership with Australian Government, could drive for better access to culturally appropriate and sustainable supports and services.
