Protecting Children is Everyone’s Business: National Framework for Protecting Australia’s Children 2009–2020 - Annual Report 2013-14

Aim of publication

This report is the fifth in a series of annual reports for the Protecting Children is Everyone’s Business: National Framework for Protecting Australia’s Children 2009–2020 (National Framework).

Although this is the fifth report in a series, this is the first time the report has only been published in an online format, reflecting a more streamlined and outcome focused publication. It is also the first time the report has been supported by the National Framework’s suite of indicator reporting web products, published on the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare’s (AIHW) website. The report provides an overview of the progress made in the final year of the National Framework’s Second Three-Year Action Plan 2012–2015 (Second Action Plan).

Who is it for?

This report is for the Commonwealth, state and territory governments, non-government organisations and service providers. The information contained in this report will also be of interest to individuals working with children or people who are concerned about children and their wellbeing.

What does it cover?

The report describes the key achievements and contributions made by the Commonwealth, state and territory governments and the non-government sector, to meet the objectives of the National Priorities set out in the Second Action Plan.

The data reflected in this report comes from different sources and is collected at different intervals over different time frames. The information presented in this report reflects the most current data available at the time the report was developed, in April 2015. Any data updated since the publication of this report are reflected in the National Framework’s suite of web products, which can be accessed at www.aihw.gov.au.
