Improving service responses to vulnerable families during pregnancy and infancy

The Australian Centre for Child Protection, University of South Australia, was funded by the Commonwealth Department of Social Services (DSS) to examine effective strategies for working with expectant parents, their babies, and families in which young children may be exposed to violence and other forms of risk.

This project was commissioned under the Third Action Plan of the National Framework for Protecting Australia’s Children 2009-2020.

The report identifies effective strategies for working with these families, and highlights how such strategies may be relevant in the Australian context.
