This report is the sixth in a series of annual reports for the Protecting Children is Everyone’s Business: National Framework for Protecting Australia’s Children 2009–2020 (National Framework).

This report spans across two reporting periods (2014-15 and 2015-16) and contributions to this report have been provided by the Australian and state and territory governments, the National Coalition, and the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare.

It describes the contributions and achievements of the Commonwealth, all jurisdictions and the non-government sector in the final year of the National Framework’s Second Three-Year Action Plan 2012–2015 and the beginning of the implementation of the Third Three-Year Action Plan 2015–2018.

The data reflected in this report originates from different sources and is collected at different intervals. The information presented in this report reflects the most current data available at the time the report was developed, in January 2018.
