Implementation of the National Plan 

The National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children 2022–2032 (National Plan) is being implemented through 2 action plans. These show the Australian, state and territory government actions and investments needed to meet the National Plan.

National Plan progress reports

We will show our progress towards the National Plan’s targets. Our progress reports will allow us to monitor and report change over the course of the National Plan.

National Plan highlights report

The National Plan Highlights report includes key achievements by all Australian governments. This is from the beginning of the National Plan in 2022 to 30 June 2025. 

The Activities Addendum and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Action Plan Implementation Update give more detail on each highlight.

The Investments Report details the investments made from the beginning of the National Plan in 2022 to 30 June 2025.  These investments are from all Australian governments. They fund the activities happening under the 2 action plans.

Outcomes reporting

The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare National Plan Outcomes reporting brings together information from a range of sources. It provides an understanding of violence against women and children in Australia. It reports on the 6 long-term outcomes and 6 national targets identified in the Outcomes Framework 2023-2032

Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Commission’s yearly report to Parliament

The Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Commission (the Commission) is a national body dedicated to addressing and ending violence against women and children in all its forms. The Commission monitors the progress and delivery of the National Plan.

The 2025 Yearly Report to Parliament presents the Commission’s view on progress under the National Plan.
