Approval to conduct marriage education programs

The Minister for Social Services can approve an organisation to conduct marriage education programs under the Marriage Act 1961(Opens external website).

This pre-approval does not mean providers or their marriage education programs are endorsed by the Department of Social Services.

Additionally, approval by the Minister does not automatically endorse organisations as a DGR. Organisations still need to apply for DGR status with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO)(Opens external website).
