Inclusive Employment Australia

The DES program is changing.

A new program will replace DES later this year. The new program is called Inclusive Employment Australia.

Current DES participants do not need to do anything. You will be sent a letter from the Department that will give you more information about Inclusive Employment Australia.

About the new program

The Australian Government is making it easier to prepare for, find and maintain work, and grow your career.

Inclusive Employment Australia is all about you.

Finding a job is different for everyone, and Inclusive Employment Australia understands this.

Inclusive Employment Australia puts you first. Your provider will help you to get ready for work, find a job, and keep it.

Inclusive Employment Australia includes many different providers who will take time to understand what you need. They can create services that work better for you and can be adjusted to fit your situation.

More people can now join, including those who can only work a few hours weekly or don't get government payments.

You can now get help for as long as you need it while looking for work, with no two-year time limit.

What this means for DES participants

There will be no changes to your work or payments. You can continue doing the tasks and activities organised for you by your DES provider.

We will write to you with more information about transferring to the new program.
