The Cost of Domestic Violence to the Australian Economy

The Office for Women (OfW)commissioned Access Economics to undertake a study of the costs of domestic violence to the Australian economy. The objective of the project is to undertake an accurate and comprehensive estimation of the costs of domestic violence to the Australian economy.

The achievement of this objective will assist in raising awareness in the community of the costs of domestic violence, and will assist policy makers in determining allocation of resources across areas of governmental intervention to address the issue.
