Australian Government response to the Joint Standing Committee on Implementation of the National Redress Scheme inquiry into the operation of the National Redress Scheme Report - Redress: Journey to Justice

The Australian Government has responded to the Final Report of the former Joint Standing Committee on the Implementation of the National Redress Scheme - Redress: Journey to Justice.(Opens in a new tab/window) The government released the response on 4 March 2026.

The response supports many of the recommendations made in the Joint Select Committee’s Final Report. It acknowledges the contributions of survivors and stakeholders during the Joint Select Committee’s inquiry. Their participation is critical to delivering redress to survivors of institutional child sexual abuse.
