Continue to implement the Youth Justice Case Management Framework (the Framework). The Framework uses a trauma‑informed lens when assessing and managing young people. It also includes assessing family violence risk and implementing supports to improve program engagement.
Implementation progress update
The Youth Justice Case Management Framework provides an evidence-based and trauma informed foundation for programs delivered by Youth Justice staff.
The Assessing and Managing Risk for Young People who are Victim Survivors practice guidance document has been developed to support practice alignment under Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM) to ensure that family violence risk is assessed and managed in line with evidence-based practice. Additional documentation includes:
- Victoria Police Risk Assessment and Risk Management Report Portal frequently asked questions
- MARAM Information Sharing frequently asked questions
- definitions and presentations of family violence and Family Violence Statewide Services.
The framework is embedded into practice, with robust Quality Assurance processes implemented to support evaluation and adherence to the case management framework.
