Allocate $36 million to 57 programs across the Specialist Homelessness Sector to support people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. This includes $8.8 million to 11 programs for women with or without accompanying children. Programs include short term crisis accommodation, medium term transitional housing, domestic violence support, counselling, education and advocacy services.
Implementation progress update
Funding for specialist homelessness services in 2025-2026 is $37.3 million. This includes funding of $8.66 million to 9 programs for women and children. These programs include short term crisis accommodation, medium term transitional housing, family and domestic violence support, counselling, education and advocacy services. (The lower number is due to amalgamation of programs and some funding reallocation to the Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Office for domestic violence brokerage).
