Activity details
Continue funding for the Settlement Engagement and Transition Support (SETS) program to build capacity and capability to identify and support migrant women in situations of family and domestic violence, and provide activities that advance their social and economic inclusion.
Implementation progress update
Additional funding for family and domestic violence (FDV) activities was originally allocated to SETS providers over the period 2021-22 to 2023-24. Further funding for FDV activities has been allocated to SETS providers over the period 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2026 to extend FDV prevention initiatives. Additional FDV funding enables SETS providers to continue specialised responses through crisis intervention measures, education for migrant women and men about options and available FDV services, appropriate referrals, training and group information sessions about respectful relationships, Australian laws, values and sources of support.
In FY2024-25, FDV funding for SETS providers has supported 2,943 individual clients and 1,611 group clients to receive FDV specific support through the program. There were 5,988 FDV sessions delivered, with 3.5 average sessions delivered per individual client.
