Developing and testing a practice and service model for young people and their families from multicultural communities.
This is funded through the Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence Responses Federation Funding Agreement 2021-30 until 31 December 2026.
Implementation progress update
Drummond Street Services and the Centre for Multicultural Youth formed a partnership to design and deliver service responses for young people from multicultural communities who use violence in the home and their families.
The partnership has completed the design of a practice framework and is now delivering support to multicultural communities in the Western Melbourne areas.
The model supports trauma-informed early intervention for young people with violent behaviours to prevent further violence.
