Implementation progress update
The eSafety and Image-Based Abuse Roundtable occurred on 21 May 2025. The eSafety Commissioner attended in person to deliver the key-note presentation. The roundtable was attended by approximately 70 representatives, including the specialist family, domestic and sexual violence sector, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO) sector, education, youth services, mental health, legal services and police.
The roundtable successfully raised stakeholder awareness and understanding of image-based abuse as a gendered form of sexual violence, and facilitated conversations on primary prevention. The roundtable outcomes support South Australian women by building cross-sector knowledge and collaborative responses, additionally, increase understanding on the role and functions of the eSafety Commission.
