Undertake a review of South Australia's sexual consent laws, including reviewing potential areas for reform such as an affirmative consent model, jury directions and increasing penalties for image-based sexual offences.
Implementation progress update
A discussion paper on this review of sexual consent laws was released publicly for consultation in December 2023. For more information see Review of consent laws in South Australia.
Submissions were invited on reform options. Further development work is being undertaken in light of the responses to consultation.
