ACT Policing will continue to review its crime data collection methods to ensure it is consistent with national best practice. ACT Policing is also pursuing Memorandums of Understanding to allow greater information sharing among ACT Government and non‑government agencies.
Implementation progress update
The liaison officer capability of ACT Policing’s Family Violence and Vulnerable Persons portfolio focuses on early identification, intervention and referral to Government and non-government service providers to improve outcomes for vulnerable members of our community.
ACT Policing partners with SupportLink to provide victims, witnesses and offenders the best information, counselling and support services that suit their circumstances.
A mapping exercise commenced in the 2024-25 financial year to examine ACT Policing’s interactions with victims of crime comparing with the ACT Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions Witness Assistants and Victim Support ACT organisations to reduce duplication and address any service gaps.
