Implementation progress update
Resources were released in September 2024 for parents and carers, and in October 2024 for community intermediaries. The 'Online safety and sexual development' resource that underpinned the age-appropriate guidance for parents and carers was published in May 2025 for community intermediaries to use with families. For more information see eSafety Commissioner - Online safety and sexual development guidance.
In 2025/26 the project was extended for one year and will focus on adapting existing resources for families with disability and conducting research into harmful sexual behaviours online.
