Develop a regional sexual assault procedure in collaboration with Yarrow Place Rape and Sexual Assault Service and the regional Local Health Networks.
Implementation progress update
Rural Support Service have established a Regional Responses to Sexual Assault Committee and employed a project officer to oversee a review of the current model of care, and to develop local procedures.
The project officer continues to oversee the implementation planning activities. In addition, the regional responses to forensic medicals and health care post sexual assault (and subsequent Model of Care) are being considered to align with the recommendations from the Royal Commission into Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence.
