Assist parents and carers to understand the importance of child development, learned parenting and to reduce the stigma associated with seeking support.
Implementation progress update
The Department of Social Services has funded the Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Protection Peak (QATSICPP) to engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and people in Queensland to develop an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Parenting Framework. The Framework will be used in parenting programs and by the child and family sector workforce. A draft framework was delivered in 2025 and is being tested with services across Queensland.
