Implementation progress update
A specialist police Sergeant Domestic and Family Violence Coordinator was successfully embedded on a regular basis within DVConnect’s 24/7 statewide service, commencing in October 2024. This has established a strong operational partnership, with the activity planned to continue into the 2025-26 financial year.
These officers support the development of co-designed responses that prioritise victim-survivor safety. This model enables collaborative interventions, efficient high-risk escalation, timely case consultation, and the incorporation of cross-agency learning to support continuous improvement.
