Activity details
The Personal Safety Initiative (PSI) is a non-crisis program that uses safety and security measures to help victim survivors remain safely at home, deter breaches of intervention orders and support evidence collection to hold perpetrators accountable.
Implementation progress update
The PSI continues to support 17 local PSI coordinators, one statewide PSI coordinator based at Safe and Equal and one Aboriginal statewide PSI coordinator.
Commencing in July 2025, a review of the initiative will seek to update PSI guidance and standards to:
- reflect current practice and legislation
- develop a new safety planning template for personal safety devices
- contribute to Victoria Police’s review of the National Police Alarm Activation Response Guidelines.
