New therapeutic services are being established in WA to support young victim-survivors of family and domestic violence including 2 Indigenous Healing Services.
This is activity is part of a broader activity to support the long-term recovery and wellbeing of children and young people who have experienced family and domestic violence. It forms part of an initiative announced by the WA Government in December 2024 to provide $8.23 million over four years (to 2027-28) to design and pilot a suite of services for children and young people impacted by family and domestic violence.
Implementation progress update
New Therapeutic Services
Two Requests for Tender were released on 7 July 2025 for a new Therapeutic Service and 2 Indigenous Healing Services to be embedded within existing children and young people services. The Indigenous Healing Services are restricted to Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations.
