The ACT Courts and Tribunal is trialling a new suite of guidance documents for family violence orders (FVOs). The trial aims to make information about the FVO process more accessible and understandable.
Implementation progress update
Many court users in the family and personal violence space are self-litigants with limited knowledge of court processes related to their protection matters. During 2024-25, the ACT Courts and Tribunal trialled a new suite of documents for Interim Family Violence Orders. This pilot of booklets was successful, with an evaluation completed at the end of 2024, and the booklets will continue to be provided to court users.
