Activity details
Undertaking a national family, domestic and sexual violence workforce survey to understand the size and current capabilities of the workforce.
Implementation progress update
The Social Research Centre (SRC) in partnership with The Australian Centre for Social Innovation (TACSI) will deliver the National Family, Domestic and Sexual violence Workforce Survey (Survey).
The project is currently in Phase 2 (January 2025 – March 2026) – Design and Field Work. SRC and TACSI have completed the cognitive testing and sense making activities and are now working to finalise the survey instrument. Restructures within the Family Safety Group including the transfer of this work to the Children and Youth Policy Branch had resulted in a delay of the proposed launch of the survey from October 2025 to February 2026.
Organisations across states and territories have participated in the concept testing and design of the Survey during the second phase.
A formal report is scheduled to be delivered by July 2026.
