The Lived Experience Advisory Council comprises people with lived and learned experience of family, domestic and sexual violence. The purpose of the Council is to support the objectives of the Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Commission and provide advice to governments to inform policies, systems and services.
The Lived Experience Advisory Council was established in September 2023, with 7 members appointed. Following a public Expression of Interest Process with over 400 responses, a further 12 members were appointed to the Council for a two-year term. For more information about the Council members see About the Lived Experience Advisory Council.
The Lived Experience Advisory Council recently developed a program of work that will drive their engagement with government on the National Plan.
