Implementation progress update
The Corrective Services (Promoting Safety) and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2024 commenced on 6 June 2024 and strengthens powers to respond to abuse of prisoner communication channels to protect the community from prisoners seeking to inflict harm from behind bars.
