Activity details
An independent evaluation of the System Reform Plan is being commissioned to identify the impact of implementation across its 4 key pillars: workforce development; information sharing; risk assessment; and risk management.
This activity is part of a broader activity to support the implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks for the Aboriginal Family Safety Strategy and Path to Safety: Western Australia’s strategy to reduce family and domestic violence 2020–2030. These will align with and support reporting requirements for the National Plan Outcomes Framework.
Implementation progress update
Independent impact evaluation of the Strengthening Responses to Family and Domestic Violence System Reform Plan 2024 to 2029
The impact evaluation was tendered in April 2025 and a contract awarded in June 2025. Both the progress reports and the evaluation, as monitoring and evaluation mechanisms for the System Reform Plan, will help inform approaches to existing State Government strategies, Path to Safety Strategy 2020-2030 and the Aboriginal Family Safety Strategy 2022-2032.
Program level evaluation has also been a focus with evaluations commissioned for a range of service groups and new initiatives. The evaluations have and will support continuous quality improvement and service model design.
