Increasing capacity of refuges through a package of safe accommodation initiatives.
This activity is part of a broader activity to improve access to safe and stable housing for women and children escaping family and domestic violence.

Safe at Home
In addition to increasing crisis accommodation capacity, Safe at Home services are being extended. Three new locations were established in 2024 (Kununurra, Hedland and Kalgoorlie). An additional seven new locations will be commencing on 1 July 2026. The new locations are Geraldton, Albany, Mandurah, Broome, Karratha, Byford/Serpentine and Yanchep.
