Deliver increased counselling services for children and young people experiencing family violence through the Family Violence Support Service Children and Young Persons' Program (CHYPP) and the Australian Childhood Foundation.
Implementation progress update
The Family Violence Counselling Support Service and Australian Childhood Foundation continued to deliver professional and specialised services to assist children and young people experiencing by family violence. The Children and Young Persons' Program (CHYPP) of the Family Violence Counselling Service provides information, therapeutic counselling and support for children and young people and their care-giver affected by family violence and where there is a police report.
CHYPP in consultation with clients from across Tasmania, is developing a children's book about attending family violence counselling, which is to be used during service delivery as a specialised resource.
