Implement the Northern Territory relevant Respect@Work: Sexual Harassment National Inquiry Report (Respect@Work Report) recommendations. This includes developing and progressing a multi-agency implementation plan.

Implementation progress update

Of the 55 recommendations in the Respect@Work Report, 22 have direct relevance to the NT Government, all of these are supported, with recommendations aligning with the Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Reduction Framework, the Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Framework and the Gender Equality Statement of Commitment.

Implementation requires a whole-of-government approach, as the recommendations cut across several portfolios, including justice, education, work health and safety, and public employment.

Recommendations under the Respect@Work Report have progressed. This includes the establishment of the WorkSafe Sexual Harassment Prevention Officer, additional funding for NT Working Women's Centre, supporting the development of resources for workplaces, and supporting NT women's legal services to deliver an awareness campaign about workplace sexual harassment in line with the Our Watch Workplace Equality & Respect Program.
