Activity details
Implementing activities under the Family Violence Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) Framework.
This activity is part of a broader activity to strengthen service and system responses to support victim survivors of family and sexual violence to receive trauma-informed care, and respond to people using family violence.
Implementation progress update
Between October 2022 and June 2025, more than 180,000 sessions of MARAM or MARAM-aligned training were delivered across over 6,000 government and non-government organisations.
In 2024-25, the Victorian Government continued delivery of MARAM adults using family violence training, MARAM victim-survivor‑focused training, financial abuse training, as well as leading alignment training for practice and policy leaders.
The Victorian Government is working toward implementing recommendations from the 5-Year Reviews to the Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme (FVISS), MARAM Framework and victim-survivor-focused MARAM Practice Guides across 2024-25 and 2025-26. This will include revising the FVISS Ministerial Guidelines and providing further specific guidance on new evidence relating to family violence risk.
