$0.2 million for the continued delivery of the Family Violence in the Court (FVitC) training program.
This activity is part of a broader activity to fund education and training on family, domestic and sexual violence for community mainstream workers, health professionals, and the justice sector. This includes accredited training to support mainstream workers engaging with victim-survivors and capacity-building training for judiciary and legal practitioners.
Implementation progress update
The Australian Government, with the states and territories, co-fund the National Judicial College of Australia (NJCA) to deliver a family violence training package for judicial officers across Australia, in all jurisdictions, on a periodic basis.
The grant agreement to provide the Commonwealth’s contribution to NJCA for the continued delivery of the Family Violence in the Court training program was executed on 18 May 2023 and will end on 30 June 2027.
