Activity details
$50.6 million over 3 years from 2025-26 to extend and increase nationally-consistent, two-way information sharing under the National Strategic Framework for Information Sharing between the Family Law and Family Violence and Child Protection Systems (National Framework) and its Co-location Program.
Implementation progress update
On 21 February 2025, the Standing Council of Attorneys-General agreed in principle to expand the National Framework to include additional proceedings initiated in the family law courts which could involve family violence or child abuse.
Expansion of the National Framework will require legislative amendments to the Family Law Act 1975.
