Implementation progress update

Adult Community Corrections (ACC) officers
The Department of Justice is embedding Adult Community Corrections officers in all 17 FDVRTs across the state, through phased implementation from 2024-2028. Their addition will improve information sharing and collaborative practice. This is including the identification of perpetrators' patterns of behaviour and increasing the visibility of perpetrators to improve family safety. In 2024-25 Midland, Armadale, Mandurah, Karratha and Broome FDVRTs received ACC officers. Plans to deliver ACC officers to other regions in 2025-26 are underway.

This outcome follows the success trialling of the inclusion of the Department of Justice Adult Community Corrections officers as a core partner in two FDVRT locations (West Kimberley and Fremantle).
