Activity details

Continue to build whole-of-government and sector capacity through the joint development of a Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) Risk Assessment and Management Framework. Formal rollout of the Framework and ongoing work is progressing to develop further training and resources to drive more integrated and consistent understanding of and responses to family and domestic violence.

Implementation progress update

The ACT Government has continued work to update the existing ACT DFV Risk Assessment and Management Framework (RAMF), which was developed in 2022, in line with current best practice and evidence. The RAMF provides a common language and approach to assessing and managing DFV risk across specialist and broader human services workforces. Updates will include greater integration of coercive control and the development of risk assessment tools to support a range of frontline workers. Tools will be developed by expert consultants in consultation with the ACT specialist DFV sector, Aboriginal community-controlled sector and broader human services sectors in 2025-26.

Updates to the ACT’s RAMF will be informed by work initiated by National Cabinet, including the development of a national risk assessment framework, which will bring together best practices approaches from across jurisdictions and inform broader system integration. Further information is available at ACT Domestic and Family Violence Risk Assessment Framework.
