Develop an evidence-informed, culturally appropriate Training Framework to promote consistency in the way that domestic and family violence (DFV) training is delivered across government and community agencies. The Training Framework will address the issue of coercive control and support service delivery that is trauma informed.

Implementation progress update

The Domestic and Family Violence Training and Change Management Framework 7 was released 13 April 2024. This evidence-based, trauma-informed framework guides the development and delivery of DFV training across government and the non-government workforce. The framework supports and promotes consistency in approach to DFV training. Provided by the Queensland Centre for Domestic and Family Violence Research, foundational online training modules were also made available in April 2024. To access these training modules see Domestic and Family Violence Training Modules on Coercive Control and Legislative Change.

Training in alignment with the framework is being rescoped to reflect Queensland's new DFV reform agenda.
