Implementation progress update
The 2024-25 Budget allocated $1.459 million over 3 years to continue the Court Navigator Program. The Court Navigator program is delivered by Legal Aid ACT and DVCS and embeds lawyers and specialist crisis workers at the ACT Magistrates Court to provide advice and assistance to people obtaining a Family Violence Order. Recent feedback from Legal Aid ACT and DVCS shows an increase in the uptake of on-site support via the Court Navigator program.
