Implementation progress update
AWAN's work involves the following:
- engaging with localised networks already in existence so as to accurately reflect their perspectives, desires and experiences at relevant forums
- providing a forum for Aboriginal women across NSW with pathways to contribute their opinions, experiences, and perspectives to inform and drive decision-making
- collaborating with the NSW Government and other key partners to progress work around DFSV to ensure the voices of Aboriginal women across the state inform and drive the work
- contribute toward policy and project initiatives under state-wide reform agendas on behalf of AWAN to advocate for change
- improving and building data available to Aboriginal communities to inform place-based initiatives and build the evidence for what works, including through community-based data.
