The Children and Young People Safe & Strong Mobile Van Program delivered by Beryl Women Inc, provides specialist therapeutic interventions, trauma counselling and support to children and young people in the ACT who have experienced domestic and family violence via an innovative mobile van service delivery modality.
Implementation progress update
Beryl Women Inc has been funded from April 2023 to June 2026 to develop and deliver Children and Young People Safe & Strong Mobile Van Program. The Program was established in 2024 and provides specialised therapeutic interventions and trauma counselling to children and young people in the ACT who have experienced domestic and family violence. The services provided include individualised case management, referral services, caregiver education, safety planning and risk assessment, and engagement with schools and other services. Beryl Women Inc have transitioned the program from an individual counselling model to a systemic family framework to better support caregivers of children and young people in the program.
