Establishing a central contact point within the Australian Human Rights Commission to provide victims and survivors of workplace sexual harassment with information about their rights, options for making a complaint, and referrals to support services.
This activity is part of a broader activity to create safer, respectful, and more equitable workplaces across Australia by providing $42.5 million to fully implement all 55 recommendations of the Respect@Work Report.
Implementation progress update
All non-legislative processes have been actioned. This includes the Respect@Work Information Service announced in August 2023.
The information service provides a central contact point within the Australian Human Rights Commission to provide victims and survivors of workplace sexual harassment with information about their rights, options for making a complaint, and referrals to support services. As of 25 August 2025, the information service has received 5,152 enquiries since its launch in April 2023. Of these, 2,086 enquiries were directly related to sexual harassment, sex-based harassment , hostile workplace and sex discrimination in work.
