Fund an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO) to adapt the Caring Dads program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander fathers using violence to improve their relationship with their children, understand the impact on children of controlling, abusive and neglectful actions and change their behaviour.
Implementation progress update
In March 2024, Yeddung Mura Aboriginal Corporation partnered with Kids First Australia to adapt and deliver the Caring Dads program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander fathers who have used or are at risk of using family violence. Yeddung Mura is the first Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisation in Australia to deliver an adapted version of Caring Dads. The program launched in August 2025.
