Activity details
Establishing an Australian Law Reform Commission Inquiry (ALRC) into justice responses to sexual violence with a focus on law reform proposals to strengthen sexual assault laws and improve the outcomes and experiences of victims and survivors in the justice system.
This activity is part of a broader activity to provide $6.5 million over 4 years for strengthening and harmonising sexual assault and consent laws.
Implementation progress update
The ALRC inquiry commenced on 22 January 2024.
The ALRC was asked to provide its final report to the Attorney-General by 22 January 2025.
