Activity details
Enact amendments to the Social Security Guide to make it clearer for Services Australia and other stakeholders that family and domestic violence should be considered when determining whether someone is to be assessed as a member of a couple.
This activity is part of a broader activity to continue and expand supports for victim-survivors through Services Australia.
Implementation progress update
Services Australia's Operational Blueprint files (internal document that supports staff delivering those services) now aligns with the content in the Social Security Guide.
The files direct staff to consider the presence of family and domestic violence when making decisions on member of a couple.
