Activity details
Provide an additional Child Health Check appointment through the Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS) for parents and children experiencing family violence.
Implementation progress update
The Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS) continues the provision of additional appointments for parents and children who identify as experiencing family violence. This system‑level approach ensures that proactive and targeted interventions are consistently available to prevent and address intergenerational cycles of family violence.
In April 2025, a Family Violence Screening Tool was launched to support the screening and identification of family violence within the provision of their service delivery, increasing the ability to offer additional appointments for support.
