Activity details
Implementing the Accurate Identification of Predominant Aggressor Practice Guidance and tool, under the Family Violence Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM).
This activity is part of a broader activity to deliver timely services to people who use violence, keeping them in view, identifying and managing risk they pose to victim survivors, and supporting attitudinal and behaviour change.
Implementation progress update
The Victorian Government is partnering with peak bodies, Safe and Equal and No to Violence, to provide training and support to specialist family violence workforces to use the Predominant Aggressor Identification Tool. They are also providing guidance to specialist family violence workforces in their practice with victim-survivors and adults using family violence. The Predominant Aggressor Identification Tool and guidance has been finalised and standalone training commenced in April 2025 to support implementation activities. Standalone training adds-to capability uplift built into comprehensive-level MARAM training delivered to specialist perpetrator services practitioners, which includes this content.
