Ensure access to trauma-informed training in assessing and responding to domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV) for healthcare providers.
Implementation progress update
Cedar Domestic and Family Violence Health Service provided 49 group training sessions related to responding to DFSV, alongside providing individual specialist consultation services. This delivered training to 1428 individual healthcare clinicians in total.
Across 2024/25, Yarrow Place Rape and Sexual Assault Service provided 135 training sessions to build capacity and enhance trauma-responsive practices to sexual violence. Training plans are in place for 2025/26 to enable access to Ask, Assess, Respond (domestic, family and secual violence), Recognise and Respond (sexual violence) and Looking Beyond Behaviour (child sexual exploitation) training. Each training session has evaluation tools in place.
