Aboriginal domestic and family violence Court Support Program

The Aboriginal DFV Court Support Program commenced service delivery February 2025. Five Aboriginal male and female workers are supporting Aboriginal families with a Domestic Violence Matter or Apprehended Domestic Violence Orders in the Moree and Gunnedah DFV List Court. They provide holistic culturally safe responses to people using violence, people experiencing violence, and their families. The program is now managed by the Aboriginal Services Unit and an Aboriginal-led evaluation is underway with the report due 2026.
