Tourism Local Navigator Pilot outcomes evaluation report

We engaged ARTD Consultants to do an independent evaluation of the Tourism Local Navigator Pilot. 

The evaluation found:

• Local navigators supported the tourism industry. They:
  • trained more than 800 small to medium employers
  • offered one-on-one help to 285 employers
  • helped 149 people with disabilities to find a job.
• Employers reported a greater awareness of the benefits of employing people with disability. They said they intend to continue using resources developed.
• Timely, one-on-one support is essential to addressing industry challenges. This includes seasonality and peak trading pressures.
