Your personal information is protected by law, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Submissions will be analysed by policy and research officers in the Parental Payments and Family Research Branch in the Department. The findings of the review will be published in a report to Government.

Individuals

If you make a submission to the review, parts of your submission may be used in the report. If we do include information from your submission in the report, we will do it in a way that does not identify you.

Unless you advise otherwise when you make your submission, please be aware your submission will be treated as public. This means

  • your name will be included in the list of submissions received on this website, and
  • your submission will be provided to external parties on request. When submissions are made available to external parties the author of the submission retains copyright. The Commonwealth does not take responsibility or accept liability for any breaches of the authors’ copyright or for the content of submissions.

We encourage you to allow your submission to be treated as public to promote discussion.

If you would prefer your name and submission to be confidential, you can specify this by ticking the opt‑out statement on the online form and/or clearly marking your written submission as ‘CONFIDENTIAL’. This means

  • your name will not be published in the list of submissions received on the website, and
  • your submission will not be released to any external party, except as required or authorised by law, or as part of the Parliamentary process. If we must release your submission as required or authorised by law we will consult you before this happens.

Businesses/organisations
